WELCOME TO PARADISE!

Ibiza, the white isle … an island where you will certainly not get bored easily. Ibiza has it all: the craziest parties, amazing nature,  beautiful landscapes for bike rides and crystal clear turquoise beaches.

Want to enjoy the SUN & the SEA at its best? Check out our boat & kayak trips.

We often get questions from our Bike Ibiza customers: what’s really fun to do here on the island? Which beaches are good for resting our legs after a bike tour? What are good restaurants where we can have a nice dinner?

So for all our guests: the ones on a day trip on the mountain bike/road bike & the bikers on a Bike Ibiza cycling holiday: in this blog, we will give you a short overview of the regions of Ibiza, including some nice beaches and restaurants.

Ibiza mainly consists of 3 parts. The North/East with the towns of San Juan, San Carlos and Santa Eularia, the South with Ibiza town, Playa den Bossa and San José and the West Coast with San Antonio.

All are totally different but equally beautiful, each region in its own specific way.

THE QUIET NORTH/EAST

Santa Eularia is the 3rd largest city on the island. Most people come here to relax and enjoy nature and/or sports activities.  In this town, you will not come across many partygoers. It is a haven for couples, families and people with children.

Hippy markets

Ibiza is known for its hippy markets.  Santa Eularia is the area where you will find the best hippy markets of the island.

On Wednesday there is the market of Punta Arabi, which is immediately the largest market on the island. Here you can wander around for hours looking for nice clothes or gifts for the home front.

The market of Las Dalias is the most beautiful market, here you will find the most beautiful stalls and special articles.   The atmosphere is just great here, often they also have live music.  The Saturday market is open all year round and in high season on some evenings too.  Many bars and places to eat, highly recommended:  Las Dalias

A little further to the north lies the village of San Joan.  On Sunday mornings there is also a nice hippie market going on the cosy town square. The atmosphere is super chilled here,  always with live music.  This market is also visited frequently by the locals.

Beaches

Cala Benirras is a beach you must have been to at least once. This is the legendary hippie beach in the North of the island. On Sunday evening the hippies play the drums until the sun sinks into the water. This is a tradition that has been maintained for many years.

There are several places to eat on the beach while you enjoy one of its legendary sunsets.

Aguas Blancas is also a gem of a beach. Small sandy beach surrounded by beautiful rock formations. To get here, you drive through San Carlos, a sweet little village, have a stroll through the streets and eat ice cream in one of the best ice cream bars of Spain.

BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS ON THE WEST COAST

San Antonio is the second-largest city on the island and is mainly known for its beautiful sunsets and the famous sunset strip,  where Café del Mar and Café Mambo are located.  Many pre-parties for the large clubs are organized on this sunset strip.

In the town centre, it’s always quite busy during the summer, the English partygoers have made it their home for decades.  However, the last year’s changes are in sight, the West-End area has strict closing times now & therefore, it’s getting a bit quieter in San Antonio.

Yet this side of the island is really wonderful and has some of the most visited beaches of Ibiza.

Beaches

Cala Comte beach is a top favourite for many people and with good reason.

From the Sunset ashram bar, you can enjoy the views with a cocktail until the sun sinks nicely into the sea: Sunset Ashram

The water here is beautifully turquoise and transparent, the bay is surrounded by beautiful sand rocks and the sunset here is ‘out of this world’.

Cala D’Hort is a very popular beach, mostly because of the amazing views over Es Vedra.  This is the magic rock that lies just off the coast there.

For the locals, Es Vedra is a rock with special powers, there is a mystical atmosphere and the area is fantastic.  Meditations are often organized here because the energy here is different & relaxing.
